JUNE 2014
Customs House, South Shields
After being the first play produced when the Customs House opened in 1996, eighteen years later it was produced there once again, to great acclaim (and even featuring a couple of the original cast members.)
Set in 1910, the story is that of one family’s fight for survival in the notorious Fifteen Streets – a fictional area of the dockyard slums of South Tyneside. The production was directed by the hugely respected North-East director Jackie Feilding.
