Robinson Crusoe

Gala Theatre, Durham

For the third year running I returned the Gala Theatre in Durham, playing Dame Connie Crusoe in their brand new panto Robinson Crusoe, written and directed by Neil Armstrong and Paul Hartley.

After 2016’s record-breaking sell out run of Jack and the Beanstalk, for this production we added more shows to the run, which ran from November 23rd to 6th January 2018.

It proved popular with audiences and critics alike, boasting fantastic sets, amazing effects, and brilliant performances.  Another successful show, and another brilliant way to round off the year.

“A special word must go to Paul Dunn, who was hilarious in the role of Robinson’s crackerjack mother Connie Crusoe.”
Philip Tallentire – The Gazette
“I cannot praise [this show] highly enough.”
Matt Baker – on BBC’s ‘The One Show’
“Paul Dunn as the Dame  soon has her eye on a man in the audience to everyone’s toe-curling delight.”
Barbara Hodgson – The Chronicle
“Paul Dunn is clearly having a whale of a time, and had the children in the audience screaming.”
Kevin Clark – Sunderland Echo
“A lot of the scenes are stolen by the Dame (Paul Dunn) as Connie Crusoe [who] did not disappoint.”
