AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2013
The Customs House, South Shields
This new play, by local actor/writer Wayne Miller first got an airing as part of a Cranked Anvil rehearsed reading night in February 2013. the success of the reading prompted Wayne to tweak the full script and book it into the Customs House for a short run.
“Jerry & Jacks want to be Big Time, but at what cost? They take on a job that they hope will shoot them up the ladder in the organization. Take a girl to a fishing cabin in the woods, sounds simple enough? With these two criminal buffoons you couldn’t be more wrong! Watch as a kidnapping gone wrong spirals them into a night of pure comic disaster. It’s like a cross between The Dumb Waiter and The Odd Couple, and should prove to be a cracking night’s entertainment.”
“As Jerry, who is resigned to his colleague’s shortcomings,
Dunn is a nice contrast to Richardson’s physicality.”

“[Paul Dunn & Craig Richardson] have pantomime experience which shows in some scenes, alternating twixt Monty Python and modern day Laurel and Hardy.”
